Baked Penne

 

 

Here’s an easy recipe that’s sure to be a hit! 

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

In a skillet: cook the ground beef, onion and garlic on medium to medium-high heat until the beef has been browned and the onions are clear. 

While cooking the beef, start heating your pot of water for the noodles. Cook penne according to package directions, usually 11-12 minutes. 

Once the meat mixture has been cooked, add the tub of Philadelphia Cream Cheese Spread and the Italian seasoning. Mix until the cream cheese has melted and is smooth. 

Add the jar of spaghetti sauce to the mix. It should look something like this:

Keep on the lowest heat setting until noodles are done. 

Drain noodles and add to a greased 9 x 13 casserole dish. 

Add sauce and mozzarella cheese.

Mix sauce, penne and cheese together until well combined. Cover casserole dish with tin foil and bake for 15 minutes. Cook for an additional 5 minutes uncovered.

Ingredients
  1. 1 lb ground beef
  2. 1/2" medium yellow onion
  3. 3 garlic cloves
  4. 1 jar spaghetti sauce (we like Prego)
  5. 1 tub Philadelphia Cream Cheese Spread
  6. 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  7. 1 Cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  8. 1 lb of Penne (1 box)
