Easy DIY Centerpiece

Easy DIY CenterpieceThere’s something about a coffee table centerpiece that brilliantly pulls a living room together. But the best part? This one was SO easy! Back when we lived in Florida, we had easy access to a Hobby Lobby. As a native Portland, Oregonian I had never experienced the magic that is Hobby Lobby, since the closest one is several hours away.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • You’ll need a total of five candles. Believe it or not, a good rule of thumb when decorating is odd numbers are your friends.  I used (1) 8″ pillar candles, (2) 6″ pillar candles and (2) 4″ pillar candles to create this look. Click here for the link.
  • One Potpourri Bundle. I chose one similar to Violet Blossom but they have a TON of different options. Click here for the link.  Just type in “potpourri” in the search bar on their website. If you’re feeling bold, try mixing some of them together!
  • A black serving tray. The one I purchased came by itself, but they do have a bundle available online. Click here for the link.

Place the candles in the tray as pictured above. Spread the potpourri around them, and you’re all finished! The other thing I love about this centerpiece is the potpourri can be switched out easily for the holidays. We usually change the neutral colors out for reds and greens around the holiday season. Easy DIY Centerpiece 2
